The Shelby County office of Options Unlimited has been assisting area employers in meeting their personnel needs since 1996. Many individuals with disabilities have secured, maintained and enhanced career opportunities through an array of employment services offered in our area. We serve both the Shelby County and Henry County areas out of the Shelbyville office. Starting in the later part of a students senior year we will work with area schools to help transition students in to the work force. Options offers adults with disabilities a personal approach to finding employment that suites a persons skills, interest and goals. Our office is located downtown across from the Shelby County Court House.

Trish Gheen Goins -Trish started working at Options Unlimited in the Shelby County office in January of 2003 in the Supported Employment Department. She has over 20 years of experience serving individuals with disabilities, the last 10 in the field of Supported Employment. Trish worked 11 years for Riverside of Miami County in Ohio serving as the Local Coordinator of Special Olympics and providing recreational opportunities for adults with disabilities in the community. In 2000 when she moved to Kentucky she was encouraged to try her hand at Supported Employment. Trish enjoys finding that just right job and being able to provide the person with the tools needed in order to work successfully. She currently serves on the Board of KY APSE, an organization dedicated to advancement of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Rozelle Hawkins - Rozelle joined the staff in the Shelby County office in April of 2004. Working now on her third career she spent 20 years as a medical assistant and then retired from the post office in 2002 after 22 years of service. Her desire to work with this population first came about when she gave a group of individuals with special needs a tour at the post office. Her interest sparked again when she became the grandmother of a child with downs syndrome. Rozelle worked for one semester in a Special Needs classroom for Shelby County Schools prior to coming to work for Options. She finds personal satisfaction in helping others find fulfillment in being an employee and an active part of their community.
