The Adult Day Training Program  at Options Unlimited provides an opportunity for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, that get to be involved in part of the community.  Individuals learn different activities of daily living, social, adaptive skills, employment skills, and self advocacy skills that are age appropriate.  Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy services are also offered at the program.

A team including the individual, caregiver, day program staff and other team members (case managers, behavior specialist) meet annually to develop a plan to individualize services and set goals for each individual.  Clients then work on their goals through the various activities out in the community as well as planned activities at the center.

Funding for our programs consist of suport from many community partners: The Offcie Of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), Medicaid Waivers, Supports for Community Living (SCL) Waiver, Michelle P. Waiver, Metro United Way, Special grants, BINGO Donations, and other fundraisers.

We provide speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy to adults with varying degrees of impairment or disability. These services are provided in adult day programs, in homes, and in the community. The goal is to maximize independent functioning in daily living activities through the provision of skilled and functional therapy services as well as through the provision of quality support services for persons with special needs.  In doing so, we will promote their empowerment, dignity, and self-worth. Ultimately, we strive to increase the functioning of our clients and caregivers through functional training, natural support networks, and communication.

PIC is a leader for provision of therapy services, therapy staffing services, and recipient-based support services for persons with disabilities or acquired head injuries.
PIC will provide staffing end employment atmospheres that are conducive to quality recruitment and retention.

PIC will provide client services that are functional and based on outcomes directed toward increased independence.
With high quality supports and functional training, clients will be able to perform daily living activities with increased independence, ultimately decreasing future costs of supportive services.
